Practice Format

The 30 minutes has to be non-stop and well planned

We begin with one or two fun
songs as a warm-up and to allow for stragglers to arrive

Next we move to the "work" pieces
-
Introduce - speak the words in rhythm

Listen to tune and sing line of words just learned

Add new verses
-
Talk about the meaning of the piece by questioning

Relate songs to season, church year, theme as appropriate
-
Occasionally have a short story that relates to the
message of the song

For two weeks preceding presentation in worship - practice
pieces in Sanctuary

Play a musical game
-
Close with a musical prayer or benediction

Musical Statues
for children who do not have to rush away

Allow children to play/explore accordion
